8 Ways to Talk Yourself Into Vlogging with @ChristinaFaith

8 Ways to Talk Yourself Into Vlogging

I am a fear driven procrasinator. There I said it. But I’ve been killing my fear by doing the very thing I am afraid to do. Vlogging has been on my list for years. I have had EVERYTHING I needed to vlog for quiet sometime and instead of vlogging I’ve allowed myself to make excuses.

If your human you struggle with the exact same thing I struggle with on a daily bases. Excuses, negative thoughts and procrasination keep us from moving forward. Instead of accepting EVERY single excuse I made about not vlogging I overcame that fear by actually vlogging and this is what I came up with.

How are you going to overcome a fear? What have you been telling yourself you can’t do?

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments or tweet me via Twitter: ChristinaFaith

1 year ago Wendy had 70k subscribers now well over 350,000 on YouTube

One year ago @withwendy had 70 k subscribers today she has 372k. Wendy started creating clothes out of desire to make what she saw but better. Every Wedneday Wendy provides a sewing tutorial and teaches future fashionista’s how to DIY clothing.

Wendy didn’t have a background in fashion on the contraty she worked in corporate America and decided to create a Youtube channel out of sheer desire.

When you first encounter Wendy’s creations you automatically have a sense of envy (just joking). She does an incredible job of making modern clothing from scratch that you wish you could buy at your favorite clothing boutique.

When we recorded the podcast Wendy had 70,000 subscribers on YouTube today she has well over 350,000.

We discussed:

  • How she went from business and engineering to self recording her Youtube videos
  • Not being awkward on camera
  • Becoming comfortable with who she is as a person
  • Speaking honestly to people she doesn’t know
  • What fuels her to continue sowing?
  • The importance of being interested in what you are youtubing about
  • How encouragement helps you keep going
  • How her style is a mixture between J. Crew and Adidas
  • What she would do differently if she had to restart her brand
  • Deciding what DIY projects to work on
  • The amount of time you have to put into YouTube
  • The equipment she uses
  • Talking to your friends about your resource needs
  • Relationships being your biggest currency

The New Journey

Today I embark upon a few new journey’s. I will be doing a weekly series of Youtube videos to encourage everyone in the morning to start and finish. I posted my weekly article on Adam Smith’s blog 6 Ways to Overcome Doubt and I realized just how many of us struggle with doubt, fear and faith.

The Youtube videos will hopefully encourage you all live with purpose, peace and focus regarding your dreams. I don’t believe that I have all the answers but I can encourage you in the areas that I have triumphed and that I am personally fighting through.

We will also be recording a video for this summer’s mission trips fundraisers that I will be apart of. My church is going back to Haiti to continue to build HTCF international church and a clinic. We are also going to Paris for a prayer missions’s trip. When we went to Haiti in February I was overwhelmed by God’s love for people. I look forward to sharing these journey’s with you and if you are partnering with me in any form of financially.

I promise to share more of my life with you all through my faith, family and business. We are taking part in some incredible ventures and I have failed to document it on the blog. That ends today!
